Britain is to have its first new nuclear power station in a generation: http://bbc.in/15Ws6A5

The two reactors at Hinkley in Somerset will run for about 60 years and will help the UK to move towards low-carbon power, the government says.

But critics are worried about safety, and fear electricity bills will rise because of the way the plant is funded.

One of those opposed to the project is Jonathon Porritt, a former chairman of the Sustainable Development Commission.

He told BBC Radio 4's The World at One why he objected.
