250 people banned from Watford's bar and clubs since introduction of ID scanners

The fightback against drunken yobs and pickpockets who prey on party people has begun in Watford.

Scanners have been installed at several of the town's nightspots that mean photo ID can be checked for previous bad behaviour.

In the past year, 250 people have been banned as a result.

Sergeant Simon Mason showed BBC 3CR reporter Matt Lockwood how it's being used at Watford's biggest club, Oceana.
