Just heard this review (a year late).
Yes, the movie was a huge disappointment. The funding fell through right before filming and then was partially found but the whole thing was filmed in three weeks (and half of that in the hospital). There just wasn't enough footage. Additionally, they wrote three different endings and then used a fourth. I think they were trying to keep suspense (so even the crew wouldn't know the end) but ended up with too many rewrites instead.
I would estimate that 3/4 of the audience was movie related (cast, crew, family of) and 1/4 was reviewers/film buffs. The director was not there (he lives in London) and no major leads either.
Maybe they could have done better with post-production?
I'm not sure what would have helped.

Thank,s good audio boo. Felt like a neat little slice of slashfilmcast.

Shall definitely be heeding your advice and avoiding this now. Sounds like the movie I thought He Was A Quiet Man was going to be, which turned out to be completely different and awesome.

Wow, STAY! Totally forgot about that one. Marc Forster, right? And...Nicole Kidman? Er, Naomi Watts? One of those two. I remember it being fairly flawed, but being very impressed with both the look and with Ryan Gosling (as usual).

So, is LOCKED IN a crass attempt to latch onto DIVING BELL, or are their similarities merely superficial?
