French nuclear energy

As the Government wrestles with the triple challenge of keeping the lights on, electricity bills under control AND meeting its climate change targets it has two clearly different models to choose from on its doorstep. #Germany has made its choice and has opted to ditch nuclear power following the #Fukushima disaster and is heading for a future based on renewable energy. #France meanwhile generates around 75% of its electricity from atomic energy and has been a passionate supporter of the atom since the 1970s. And the French state run company EDF have won the contract to build #Hinckley Point power station. But courtesy of Fukushima, President #Hollande has said he wants to see the share of nuclear electricity in the country reduced to 50%. Will he have his presidential wish?
