Last month we reported that Belfast City Council had been granted powers to confiscate and destroy substances they believe to be so-called 'legal highs'.

We have been contacted by a mother whose son is using legal highs while hanging around Belfast City centre. Kate, which is not her real name, says her 17-year-old son has been using the psychoactive drugs for a year now, despite getting him help, he can't stop using them. She's worried that he is going to end up dead.
