City Gardens: Bunhill Fields

Situated in Islington, but managed as a public open space by the City of London since 1867, Bunhill Fields is a site of historic significance. As well as a popular lunchtime spot for office workers escaping the hustle-and-bustle of the Square Mile, the burial ground is the last resting place of around 120,000 bodies, the most well-known being William Blake, Daniel Defoe and John Bunyan. On a bright and sunny May afternoon, City Gardener Tommy Mannion offers you a whistle-stop tour of this beautiful space.
