Special Report: Winter Dangers On Lake Windermere (December 2013)

Lake Windermere is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the UK, but during the winter, it can also be one of the most dangerous. As the weather starts to take a turn for the worst, South Lakeland District Council’s Lake Wardens are urging boat owners to check their vessels are secured correctly on the water. Here’s a special report that I produced for The Bay radio after spending the day with SLDC’s Lake Wardens at Ferry Nab and joined them on a patrol of the lake.
