"Inevitably you start saying goodbye"

The writer, poet and raconteur Clive James is making a rare public appearance this week at the first Australia & New Zealand Festival of Literature & Arts in London this week: rare because he has been seriously ill for three years, with leukaemia and emphysema, and is increasingly frail. The Today Programme's James Naughtie spoke to him in Cambridge about his lasting desire to write, and the enthusiasms that still sustain him in his illness.
