The #OnThisDay take on the anniversary of Harry Houdini’s straight jacket stunt whilst hanging from a crane forty feet above New York, on this day in 1923. The illusionist and escape artist was strapped into a straitjacket and hung upside from a crane in Times Square, escaping successfully in two minutes and thirty seven seconds.
