Sculpture in the City: False Ceiling

Walk down one particular alleyway in the City’s beautiful Leadenhall Market, look up and you will see hundreds of books suspended in mid-air high above you. Richard Wentworth says that his art work, False Ceiling, “hints at important issues around the negotiation of cultural difference and knowledge”. His work forms part of Sculpture in the City 2014, the annual public art exhibition in the Square Mile. He talks to Andrew Buckingham from the City of London Corporation, one of the project partners, about his unique work.
