The #pnefc captain, John Welsh says he's relieved to be no longer under formal arrest as part of a Police investigation into spot-fixing.
Welsh - along with four other Preston players - have been released from bail although the National Crime Agency are still making enquiries.
The midfielder is now focusing on Saturday's opening game of the season against Notts County and wants to improve on last year when North End lost in the Play-Offs.
But he admits allegations that he cheated have affected his family.
