A suicidal rape victim has reportedly been denied an abortion in the Republic. The full facts of the case have still to be established, but they have re-ignited the debate about abortion law south of the border. It has also pinpointed one of the big questions in the debate about abortion - should it be allowed in cases of rape or when the expectant mother is suicidal?
