Bloggers in Russia fear President Putin could soon unplug them from the worldwide web

According to newspaper reports in Moscow, a security council meeting is taking place today where officials will discuss how Moscow could disconnect citizens in the event of mass protests or a serious military confrontation.

The measures could involve taking control of the .ru and .su web domains, and the proposal has whipped up a storm on social media, as blogger Linor Goralik explains.
