If you absolutely hated it when Anna Karenina died, or wanted to ensure that Jay Gatsby lived to party another day, publishing may now have the answer. This week, a new publisher has launched - asking for comments from readers on two e-books before launching the books into print. So can crowd-editing democratise the editing process for novelists, and harness the best ideas - or does it spell the end of true authorship?
