In January 2014 UKIP Councillor for Henley-on-Thames David Silvester caused a media storm when he blamed the storms and floods that had battered Britain on the legalisation of gay marriage. He appeared on BBC Radio Oxford on 19 January 2014 speaking to Charles Nove, who carefully treads a path through the issues.
