Can Greece roll back austerity and pay its debts?


The new Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras continues to walk a tightrope. On the one hand he has insisted that his country will not default on its debts, on the other, his new government began a vigorous reversal of the austerity programme.

Dr Michael Arghyrou, reader in economics at Cardiff Business School, casts some light on the situation.
