Friday boss: CEO of Monarch Group Andrew Swaffield


The travel company Monarch Group is also the owner of Britain's oldest continuous airline brand. Forty-seven year old Monarch Airlines is a well recognised name amongst British holiday makers and grew out of the holiday group Cosmos.

But just months ago the company was close to collapse. The business was rescued after it was sold by the family that had owned it since the 1960s and a wave of restructuring and redundancies followed.

Business presenter Tanya Beckett asked Mr Swaffield how he turned the airline around.
