An entrepreneur from Milton Keynes has won her case against Luton-based travel company TUI to retain her company's name. The multi-national claimed her handbag company Mia Tui was too similar to their name. Now with the help of BBC Three Counties' JVS Show she's confirmed her trademark. Charlotte Jamme approached Jonathan Vernon-Smith for help because she thought she'd be forced out of business in the David against Goliath battle. She'd been designing and selling bags under the name that means My Bags in Vietnamese, when she received a legal warning to stop using the name. A Hertfordshire trademark law expert Vicki Bennet offered to take her case without charge last September and today they've confirmed TUI have dropped the case and she can keep the name #jvsshow #TUI #MIATUI #handbags
