Prince George sex worker drop-in centre seeks new home

The only drop-in centre for sex workers in Prince George is looking for a new home. The Prince George New Hope Society, founded in 2005, is a place for sex workers or sexually-exploited women to seek shelter, hot food and clothes, as well as access workshops on how to build up their self-esteem or life skills. For the last 10 years, the organization has been operating rent- and utility-free out of a downtown Prince George building, but it is now up for sale, and the New Hope Society needs to find a new home by the summer. Carolina de Ryk speaks to executive director Jan Wilson.
