Chagall! Gao! Portaels!

A major retrospective of Marc Chagall's work is opening at the Royal Museum of Fine Arts with over 220 works lent by major museums the world over as well as the Chagall family. Simultaneously, the museum is also presenting a specially commissioned series of large canvasses by Chinese author (Nobel Prize for literature 2000) and artist Gao Xingjian based on traditional Chinese ink painting and also a show on Belgian XIXth century painter Jean Portaels.
