Election 2015: The cider vote
The Cider industry is now worth three billion pounds a year. In his recent budget, George Osborne proudly announced he would reduce the duty on cider by two percent, and on Thursday, the Chancellor was in Somerset visiting a local cider-maker to tout his pro-cider credentials. Not to be out-done, local Liberal Democrats insisted they too were champions of cider and cider-drinkers - could this have anything to do with the number of seats those parties are fighting over in the South-West, the region where cider is made and where it's most widely drunk? The World Tonight's Paul Moss reports.
