Rewind more than a hundred years, Victorian society was definitely a bit more divided with men enjoying a lot more freedoms than women.

Well one writer, Hadyn Brown, didn't like this and wrote a book called Advice To Single Women in 1899 on how to live your life without a man - and the British Library's just re-printed it.
