June 2 | In this episode of The Telegraph Cycling Podcast Richard Moore, Lionel Birnie and Daniel Friebe recap the final weekend of the Giro d'Italia.

Alberto Contador wrapped up overall victory to clinch his second Giro title, although he claims it was his third, refusing to recognise he was stripped of his 2011 win.

But on the Colle delle Finestre on Saturday, he looked vulnerable for the first time as Astana's Mikel Landa put on the pressure. We ask what implications this has for Contador's Tour de France challenge next month, considering his three main rivals, Vincenzo Nibali, Chris Froome and Nairo Quintana have not endured the rigours of a three-week grand tour.

We also weigh up Astana's dominance of the mountain stages and look at the other riders who caught the eye.
