The Essex Vicar who fought at Waterloo

Reverend Edward Bowlby was vicar of St Mary the Virgin at Little Thurrock and was largely responsible for restoring it and adding the vestry. What isn't widely known that this Man of God had formerly been a Man of War....fighting for the English against Napoleon at Waterloo
