In 1969 John bought a lion cub called Christian from Harrords. When Christian outgrew their Kings Road flat, Christian was released into the African wild. Footage of the emotional reunion between Christian and his owners a year after his release clocked well over 100 million views when it surfaced on YouTube in 2009
