Victory for Ouattara in Ivory Coast Election
The president of Ivory Coast, Alassane Ouattara, has won a second term in office with more than 83% of the vote. Several opposition candidates pulled out saying the election wouldn't be free and fair, but US observers said they were satisfied it was. Mr Ouattara - a former official with the International Monetary Fund - campaigned on restoring economic health to Ivory Coast, which is the world's largest cocoa producer.
