This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Medical College of Ohio. The nationrsquos 100th medical school located in Toledo Ohio was officially created Dec. 18 1964 when then Ohio Governor James A. Rhodes signed legislation establishing the school. We are celebrating that milestone tonight with

Dr. Thomas Wakefield a 1978 Medical College of Ohio graduate who is now the head of vascular surgery at the University of Michigan.

Dr. Kenneth Kropp a professor emeritus of the medical school who started the kidney transplant program.

Dr. Bill Crounse who graduated from MCO in 1979 and is now Senior Director of Worldwide Health for the Microsoft Corporation.

And Dr. Donna Woodson a Toledo area physician who was a member of the charter class of the Medical College of Ohio.
