The waiting game is over, a referendum date has been set and arguments are now being waged on the merits or otherwise of Britain staying or leaving the European Union.
Having negotiated a deal with EU leaders giving the UK "special status", the Prime Minister David Cameron must now persuade the British public that's in our interests to stay. That won't be easy. If the polls are anything to go by the country is as divided as Mr Cameron's own party, whose Euro-sceptic wing has been bolstered by the decision from the former London Mayor Boris Johnson, to campaign for a BREXIT. So what does the City make of all this and did Mr Cameron wrest enough concessions from European leaders to win over the doubters? Doctor Savvas Savouri, Chief Economist at Toscafund, London's biggest hedge fund, gives his verdict.
