Mark Coker, the founder of Smashwords, an ebook distributor, tells his views on authors going exclusive with online retailers, particularly amazon. We also talk about translations, self publishing, and the power of the Internet in providing a level playing field for authors. He describes himself as a gardener, dreamer, doer, hiker, explorer, battler of squirrels, and co-author of Boob Tube and several other books. He is an alumnus of the University of California Berkeley, Haas School of Business.
