This is Jackson State News Now. Hello everyone I am Oneshia Jones with your Jackson State News Now Update. The time is now 1:34 P.M. The temperature is currently 67 degrees Fahrenheit. Jackson State University hosted a reception for the honda campus all-star challenge organization. The reception was set to honor students for making it through the qualifying round to get to nationals. If students win nationals they will receive money for scholarships at J-S-U. A man employed at a Magee mental health facility has been charged with touching a patient inappropriately. The victim and facility is not being identified but the suspect is 21 year old Daniel P. Smith. The suspect has been released from Simpson County Jail on five thousand dollar bond. Homeowners shoot a man to death after he invades their home. After the shooting authorites realize that the suspect is an escapee that broke out of jail on March 2. The escapee is 34 year old Rafael Mccloud. He escaped jail after holding a officer at knife point. An emergency water use restriction has been issued for the city of Jackson.
