There's nothing more romantic than pizza and math. That seems to be the theory behind Washington, D.C.-based pizza chain &pizza offering free weddings to celebrate Pi Day on March 14. The restaurant is turning its new Columbia Heights spot into a wedding chapel where people can get really, legally married or have their vows renewed thanks to local elopement specialist startup Pop! Wed Co.

"We did a wedding for a couple last year at &pizza on Pi Day and it went really well," said Maggie Gaudaen who founded Pop! Wed Co with her now husband Steven Gaudaen. "She was a math teach he loved pizza. &pizza was just really stoked about it."

&pizza enjoyed hosting the wedding so much that they've opened up a whole day for it. The happy couples will get not only the wedding ceremony, but free food, flowers and music, plus a photographer from Pop! Wed Co will be there to take pictures of the matrimony and the wedding toppings.

"[&pizza] was really jazzed about it," Gaudaen, who likes to get all the green toppings on her pizza, said. "I'm really happy it's happening again."
