Catterick Garrison remembers those who fell at the Battle of the Somme - one of the bloodiest battles in human history.

On July 1st 1916 there were over 57,000 casualties as men climbed out of the trenches, went over the top and advanced across the fields of France.

The parade at Vimy Barracks began with a deafening boom to signify the preceding artillery barrage.

Chris Kaye joins the 2000 officers & soldiers paying tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
