Jon Ferris of Utilitywise discusses EDF's expected decision on Hinkley Point

Now, this evening we're expecting a final rubber-stamping of the decision to build the UK's first new nuclear plant for 20 years, at Hinkley Point in Somerset. It's to be built by EDF, the energy company mainly owned by the French government, and a third of the investment comes from Chinese investors. It's a hugely controversial project for many different reasons, but it was approved by our government a few years ago, and today we're expecting EDF to give the project the final go-ahead.
