In a world full of nuclear weapons and nuclear energy, how can we be more safe? Joining our hosts Michael Nagler and Stephanie Van Hook is the amazing Alice Slater, the New York Director of the Nuclear Age Peace Foundation. She also serves on the Coordinating Committee of World Beyond War. Did you know that the US is poised to spend one trillion dollars on new nuclear weapons facilities and warheads and there are other countries following suit? While some may say that nuclear weapons keep us safe, we have a much different point of view on safety. After our interview, Michael Nagler bring us Nonviolence in the News from around the world, as well as resources and recommendations of new books, documentaries, and other media of interest. Then, Michael talks to Stephanie about her new book and Metta Center’s first publication on our very own Person Power Press, Gandhi Searches for Truth.
