Protesters angered Japanese helicopters aiding construction of US military helipad

Weary protesters on the Japanese island of Okinawa, who've been blockading the construction of a US military helipad for nine years, say the Japanese government has gone a step too far. The government is allowing the use of its own self-defence force Chinook military helicopters to get construction materials past the protesters. There's been a flare-up in recent weeks between the protesters and police on the frontlines of the protest.
