Today Matt is joined in the studio by his old friend: Corey Taylor! Known of course as the vocalist for Slipknot and Stone Sour…but also a very successful author and turns out music promoter! He and Matt chat about the creation of Slipknot’s debut album in Malibu’s infamous Indigo Ranch Studios with producer Ross Robinson and how subsequently touring with Ozzfest really put the band on the map! This weekend will be the inaugural Ozzfest Meets Knotfest festival and Corey pays homage to the Osbourne family, saying that combining the two shows was the perfect way for the band to show their admiration and respect. Corey also talks at length about upcoming plans for new Stone Sour music…calling it some of the best music they’ve ever made together and promising that it will blow people’s minds when it comes out.
