Waste and Recycling overhaul set for Newcastle-under-Lyme

Oct 20, 2016, 11:23 AM

Newcastle-under-Lyme Bourough Council is changing its waste and recycling service. They say the various bags will be replaced with a simpler three-box system all aimed at boosting the level of recycling.

The collections are also coming back in-house and the council hope to save £500,000 a year in the process.

We spoke to Trevor Nicoll, head of waste and recycling, at the authority.
