GESS, Education Ministry discuss cash transfer challenges in South Sudan

The UK government funded cash Transfer program of the Girls Education South Sudan, is in the spotlight. Designed to encourage girls to enroll, attend and stay in school, the cash transfer program is already blighted by challenges of swindling and misappropriation.

The Breakfast show team has found out that 2 Teachers in Twic of Jonglei, have been arrested in connection with swindling this money.

Akuja de Garang, GESS Team Leader and George Ali, the deputy director of the Ministry of General Education, were hosted on Miraya Breakfast show to discuss the challenges facing the cash transfers and what needs to be done to put this straight.
