Tuolumne County - Gold Panning In Jamestown, California

Jun 17, 2017, 12:18 AM

Keri Jones visits Jamestown and Columbia, historic towns in the hills of rural Northern California. This area, Tuolumne County, was at the centre of the gold rush of the 1840s. There’s still gold in ‘them there’ hills! Keri goes panning for the precious metal and gets lucky! His luck runs out later when he gets held-up during a ‘highway robbery’. Then, he discovers why painting and Pinot Gris are being paired for a fun activity in this wine-growing region. Keri also spends the night in an historic, haunted hotel, which is often featured in paranormal programmes!
