The mother of a Derbyshire backpacker who was stabbed to death in a hostel in Australia last year has started a campaign to expose the exploitation of young people by the farm-work visa scheme. 21 year old Mia Ayliffe Chung went to Anthony Gell school in Wirksworth and studied at Buxton and Leek College. Her Mum Rosie Ayliffe told High Peak and Ashbourne Radio that there are 20,000 British backpackers who are unregistered and unprotected.
