Capital's found the police force that investigated the murder of a Leicestershire woman stalked by her former partner continuously failed to log stalking crimes in the eight months after her death.

Alice Ruggles, 24, from Market Harborough, was murdered in Gateshead by Trimaan Dhillon a year ago.

He is serving life in prison for her murder.

Figures show after she died on October 12 2016, Northumbria Police logged 0.4% of calls as stalking crimes.

4,500 others were recorded as harassment.

That's 0.4%.

Alice's mum, Sue Hills, who's from Tur Langton, is shocked.

Northumbria Police is reviewing all cases - to see how many were incorrectly logged as harassment.
