SSNPS makes progress in addressing conflict-related sexual violence crimes

A two-day training for the South Sudan National Police Service officers opens in Juba tomorrow.

The training is part of the efforts being taken by the UN mission in South Sudan in collaboration with key partners to create an enabling environment for the police to prevent sexual violence crimes throughout transitional justice processes.

Ms. Victoria Ngali, Acting Senior Women Protection Advisor, Office of Senior Women Protection Adviser, spoke of the police as important partners in the fight against sexual violence related crimes. She told Miraya Breakfast show that the National Police Service is making progress in efforts to address conflict-related sexual violence crimes.
