It may have started poorly thanks to #MUFC and Jose Mourinho but once again it's been another massive weekend of football results – so Danny Parkinson and Joe Redmond are here once again to take a look back at the results.

Away from the #LFC and #MUFC Anfield damp squib #MCFC took the plaudits for the weekend as they stuck seven past #SCFC and did it some style as well with Kevin De Bruyne staking an impressive claim for the best player in the #PremierLeague with a dominating midfield display.

#THFC beat #AFCB narrowly at Wembley to win their first ever #PL game at the national stadium and hopefully for them put to bed any debate over the so-called Wembley hoodoo, and north-London rivals #AFC couldn't hold on despite going 1-0 up at #WatfordFC and fell victim to two second-half goals which led to Hornets striker Troy Deeney accusing #Arsenal of lacking 'Cajones'.

#CPFC got their first goals of the season and their first win of the season over Champions #CFC, which is sure to give them belief that they can beat the drop despite the poor start, and the pressure increases on Ronald Koeman despite a late penalty which sealed a point at struggling #BHAFC.

Elsewhere Andy Carroll did nothing for the reputation that footballers are stupid as #BurnleyFC drew 1-1 with #WHUFC, #SaintsFC and #NUFC battled out a 2-2 drew, and #Swans picked up three points in a relegation six-pointer against #HTAFC.

In the Championship #WWFC go to the top of the league after an impressive win over #Midlands rivals #AVFC, #LUFC's run of poor form continues as they lose at home to #ReadingFC – there third defeat in a row – and is time up for Carlos at #SWFC after the clubs shock defeat to #BWFC.

In the lower leagues there was a shock defeat for #BCAFC at #BuryFC, as #Shrews also slip up by drawing at struggling #PAFC as #WAFC go top with another win, this time against #SUFC.

In League Two #Notts managed to put the defeat to #FGRFC behind them to go back top of the league after beating #Barnet, #ECFC picked up an impressive point away at #WWFC and #LTFC put seven past #SBFC to further improve their promotion credentials.
