Jose Mourinho made sure he answered recent criticism by masterminding Manchester United's hard-fought win over Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday. While there was plenty of reason for Mourinho to gloat, the result concluded a disappointing week for Tottenham and their manager Mauricio Pochettino. Manchester City maintained their five-point lead at the top of the table with victory at West Bromwich Albion to ensure the best start of any team in Premier League history. Champions Chelsea made sure they did not fall further behind City with an Eden Hazard-inspired win at Bournemouth, while there were wins for Arsenal, Liverpool, and Stoke City. Bottom side Crystal Palace claimed a late draw against West Ham United in the most dramatic game of the weekend, but there was more misery for struggling Everton at Leicester City. In this week's Extra Time podcast, Jon Turner, Steve Luckings and John McAuley offer their thoughts on the latest from the Premier League before looking ahead to the midweek Uefa Champions League fixtures. Former Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp provides his views on Spurs' Champions League showdown with Real Madrid, and Ian Hawkey, in Italy for The National, lends his expert opinion on Roma v Chelsea and Napoli v Manchester City.
