Minosis Gathers Hope at Rubaboo
Each January, the Rubaboo Festival highlights great Aborginal Art from at home and abroad. This year, two plays are being featured in Edmonton's Backstage Theatre. One of them is called "Bears," a dark comedy about the landscape and the Kinder Morgan pipeline.
Another show is aimed at kids and family audiences called "Minosis Gathers Hope." It's the story of a young Metis girl on an adventure to know who she is, and how she handles the obstacles in her way. It's written by Christine Sakaymoh Frederick, who also is part of the cast. Christine has been an award-winning creator for three decades, and she spoke with Russell about this new show at the Rubaboo Festival.
