Derby Uni Professor Tells Capital It Would Take A "Number Of Countries" Pulling Out For Russian World Cup To Go Ahead

A Derby Uni Professor's told Capital he believes the World Cup in Russia will still go ahead - despite the current political tension.

There's been some doubt cast over the tournament this summer with the recent poisoning of a former Russian spy and daughter in Salisbury.

England Manager Gareth Southgate has said his side will go but admits it will be on the players mind.

Professor Keith McLay's the Dean of College of Arts, Humanities and Education. 

He's spoken to Capital Reports about Russia's current relationship with the UK and Europe, Boris Johnson's role in getting a response and the upcoming World Cup.
