Tips on Winning the CBC Poetry Prize

Weekends are a great time for poetry, whether that's reading it, sharing it, or - if you're a writer - crafting some of your own.

With a deadline of May 31, 2018, you may want to consider writing something for the CBC Poetry Prize. Any poem -- or poems -- up to 600 words is welcome for a chance to win $6000 from the Canada Council for the Arts and a 10-day writing residency at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity.

Back in 2014, David Martin took home that prize for his winning submission, "Tar Swan" and he spoke with Russell Bowers about the contest and his recently published book of poetry by the same name.
