The Former Northern Ireland Director of Public Prosecutions has called for an end to all criminal investigations relating to the Troubles.

But could an effective criminal amnesty for all Troubles killings be an answer to the impass over the troubles?

And how would this be greeted by families who've waited decades for justice?
