There are over one thousand children waiting for ENT surgery in Northern Ireland - with the longest waiting time for surgery two years.  The Belfast Trust says a total of 1185 children are currently on the list - blaming demand outstretching capacity to provide treatment. Belfast mother of two, Michelle Erwin, contacted the Nolan Show about her four year old son, Mason. She says he has been continually ill with tonsillitis for years - and has been waiting for an operation for a year and a half. She says it's got to the stage where it is affecting his school attendance and sleep - with antibiotics a common thing in their home.
