The mum of a Derbyshire woman who died of an overdose in prison has told Capital it's painful to hear an inquest ruling her life could be saved.

A coronor found medics giving Nichola Lawrence perscription drugs and Methadone at HMP New Hall didnt communicate and that staff werent trained to spot signs of an overdose.

She was one of 22 women to die in prison in 2016 - a record number.

Christina Lawrence says she doesn't want this to happen to any other woman in prison or another family.
